Kimberley Girls’ High School, established on 12 April 1887 with 21 pupils on the roll, ranged form Grade 1 to Grade 12. In 1927 the Junior Classes separated to form the Belgravia Junior School, and the girls' school continued as a High School.
Girl's High School celebrates its 125th birthday in April 2012.
Today the school is an all girls, non-racial State school, from Grade 8 to 12, with an enrolment of 600 and 30 staff members.
During the school's more than 120 years history there have been ten Principals. The present Principal, Mrs Helen Hugo, herself an old girl of the school, has been Principal since 1997. |
